Administrative and Member Coordinator

12-15 hrs/week

Keystone Conservation seeks an Administrative and Membership Coordinator with experience in membership communications and database management. The position emphasizes both membership relations and administrative assistant functions. The Coordinator is responsible for day to day management of membership relations, and requires excellent writing and verbal communication skills. The right individual will be self-motivated with a drive to succeed. Experience in member communications and/or e-marketing is desired.

Responsibilities include:

  • Build and strengthen relationships with members, in coordination with the Executive Director. Answer office phone and respond to inquiries.
  • Manage FileMaker Pro database; responsible for tracking donations and producing acknowledgement and renewal letters.
  • Manage in-house mailings and correspondence, including membership appeals. Work with outside vendors to ensure excellence in communications.
  • Coordinate with Executive Director to develop programs in a manner that creates a culture of member recognition, involvement and organizational stewardship.
  • Assist with event planning.

Experience and Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have:

  • Well-developed writing, proofreading and phone-based interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications, especially database (preferably FileMaker Pro/Ebase) management. Adobe InDesign or other desktop publishing experience a plus.
  • Experience in managing a membership program designed to involve volunteers and increase annual revenue.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
  • Initiative and independence, as well as ability to work cooperatively as a member of a team.
  • Experience working in a small nonprofit setting, and willingness to “pitch in”, as needed.

Hours and Compensation:
Position is 12-15 hours/week, Wage DOE.
